Indigo is a natural dye that gives a vibrant and beautiful blue colour when used to dye fibres & textiles. It is a magical plant and dye to work with & I am excited to share the wonder and joy of it with you.
Join me in my studio for this hands-on workshop where you will learn the basics in Indigo dying. We will explore the various shades of blue possible. I will show you how to set up your own Indigo Vat, we will explore various Shibori Techniques of binding, clamping & tying to create beautiful patterns. After some fun exploration & experimentation, you will incorporate what you have learnt into dyeing a scarf. You will leave with a variety of indigo pieces, your swatch book & your own indigo dyed scarf.
This workshop is perfect for anyone wanting to try a new creative hobby and expand their creative process, all levels are welcome & no experience is necessary!
