Join me at the thoughtfully curated space of Irene Studio in East London this Spring for an immersive 3-hour introduction to natural dyeing.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to extract colour from plants, prepare fibres properly, and apply lasting natural pigment to textiles. The session is structured, practical, and suitable for beginners.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll experiment with simple plant materials to build a nuanced palette, create a dye journal filled with swatches, and complete a finished piece to take home.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

How colour binds & fixes to fabric
How to source reliable plant-based dyes
How to prepare plants for the dye bath
How to extract dye & apply natural colour
How to build & vary your colour palette

WHAT YOU'LL CREATE:

A series of dyed swatches
A personal dye journal with samples and notes
One finished dyed textile piece to take home
You’ll leave with a solid understanding of the process and the confidence to continue experimenting independently.
