Join me at the beautiful studio of Kristin Peres in East London this Autumn for an immersive natural dye workshop.

If you've ever wanted to learn how to naturally dye, extract colour from plants, or learn about sources of natural colour, this class is the perfect starting point.

You'll experiment with simple ingredients & sources of natural colour to create a soothing palette of beautiful natural colours, a natural dye journal filled with swatches & a finished item to take home.

From this 5 hour, hands-on workshop, you will learn the steps required to source & extract colour naturally & apply these to textiles, fibres & fabrics. Together we will cover the techniques of the natural dye process & look at:

How to prepare fibre for natural dyeing
How to make colour bind & fix to your fabric
How to source natural colour & the best sources to use
How to prepare plants for the dye bath
How to extract dye
How to naturally dye fibre

Do I need to bring anything?

You don't need to bring anything. I'll supply everything you need to dye a variety of natural fibre swatches, create a journal filled with your work & dye a final pieces to take home.

All materials will be provided & you will leave with a solid understanding of the process along with the confidence to give natural dyeing a go!
