What tools or equipment do I need?
You'll need a pot, water, some plant material or dye powder, a sieve, a wooden spoon & something to dye. The full supply list is in the first module.
It's illegal to pick plants in my town, can I use other sources of natural colour?
Yes, you can order dye plants or powders online. Or you can use a range of foods that contain dye. I cover this in the course & provide you with a list of alternatives.
I don't want to use Alum, do you suggest alternatives?
Yes, I detail your options, explain the alternatives & provide instructions on incorporating tannins & plant-based mordants.
Is this course relevant if I live elsewhere & we have different plants?
Yes, the dye plants are one part of a more extensive process, each with significance. While plants may differ, we still have quite a bit of cross-over.
What's the difference between this course & your foundational course?
The foundational course has additional modules, live classes, ongoing support & coaching. It is a comprehensive natural dye learning programme. This course contains all the essential lessons to build your knowledge, confidence & skills.
