Natural Dye Workshops London

Upcoming Workshops

I am very excited to return to the inspiring studio of Kristin Perers for two days of immersive workshops at ‘The Flower Factory Studio‘. These will be my first natural dye workshops in London since the pandemic and I cannot wait to share them with you.

If you’ve been wanting to try natural dyeing but haven’t gotten around to it or don’t know where to start, look no further. Our upcoming natural dye workshops are the perfect stepping stone to a world of sustainable colour creation. Immerse yourself in the art of natural dyeing and experience the beauty of plant-based pigments firsthand.

Why Choose Natural Dyeing?

Natural dyeing offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to harmful & synthetic dyes. Being able to utilizing the power of plants to create stunning natural colours without harming the planet is invaluable.

The process of natural dyeing is grounding, calming & meditative. It beckons you to slow down, to forget the pressures of the outside world. It calms your nervous system & captivates you with colours, alchemy & unlimited possibilities!

Foraging for plant dyes gets you outside, into nature, connected & knowledgable about your environment. Creating dye baths, smelling the rich aromas, stirring your pots, extracting dyes & dyeing fibres can be a soothing balm to this hectic world. Being able to colour your life with naturally dyed fibres, fabrics or garments fills you with a deep sense of satisfaction & confidence all while nourishing your creativity.

What to Expect From The Workshops?

Workshops will be held in the inspiring studio of Kristin Peres, ‘The Flower Factory Studio’, a light-filled space located on Columbia Rd. Here you’ll soak in techniques & processes of natural dyeing or our paint-making workshops.

I will be teaching two different workshops. The first is a “Introduction To Natural Dyeing” & as the name suggests will be a comprehensive introduction to the process. On Sunday, I’ll be teaching “Plant Dyes, Textiles & Botanical Paints“. This workshops will explore natural colour, dip into the natural dye process & focus on making natural paints from plants.

My workshops provide a hands-on experience, guiding you through every step of the natural dyeing process. From dyeing fibre to making paints, you’ll gain the skills to repeat the process at home.
