I am very excited to return to the inspiring studio of Kristin Perers for two days of immersive workshops at ‘The Flower Factory Studio‘. These will be my first natural dye workshops in London since the pandemic and I cannot wait to share them with you.

What to Expect From The Workshops?

Workshops will be held in the inspiring studio of Kristin Peres, ‘The Flower Factory Studio’, a light-filled space located on Columbia Rd. Here you’ll soak in techniques & processes of natural dyeing or our paint-making workshops. 

I will be teaching two different workshops. The first is an “Introduction To Natural Dyeing” & as the name suggests will be a comprehensive introduction to the process. On Sunday, I’ll be teaching “Plant Dyes, Textiles & Botanical Paints”. This workshop will explore natural colour, dip into the natural dye process & focus on making natural paints from plants.

My workshops provide a hands-on experience, guiding you through every step of the natural dyeing process. From dyeing fibre to making paints, you’ll gain the skills to repeat the process at home.

Saturdays Class: Introduction To Natural Dyeing

• How to source natural colour & the best sources to use
• How to prepare plants for the dye bath
• How to extract dye
• How to naturally dye fibre

Sunday’s Class: Plant Dyes, Textiles & Botanical Paints

What you’ll cover:

• How to make dye baths
• How to dye fibre
• Sources of natural colour
• How to make watercolour paint from plants
• How to make watercolour paint from leftover dye baths
• How to make watercolour paint from natural dye powder
• How to expand your palette using simple ingredients
